My son and I are in our second year at Queensgate Tennis Club. We were both made very welcome. The club offers lots of activities. My son has a group lesson and is competing in a box league. The club also offers social tennis on a Saturday, which is great fun and it's a chance to meet other members. I am involved in a mixed ladder and a singles ladder. There is always something to get involved in.
It's my second year with the club and I am really enjoying being a part of it. From being a complete beginner I am now feeling confident to participate in socials and matches. Beginner coaching weekly sessions were amazing help. Now I am trying to get the rest of my family involved!
I live locally and began playing tennis properly last year when I joined the club with my sister. Since then, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet all the lovely, friendly and welcoming members through all the different social clubs, tournament nights and coaching evenings. We've loved being coached by Darren and have really improved our tennis skills with him. At Queensgate you get the opportunity to play on both clay and astro courts which is great! It has been the best use of our free time, particularly during the lockdown period. I would recommend to anyone looking to join a club.
I joined the club last year along with my 9 year old son. We've felt very welcome from the start. My son really enjoys the junior socials and has improved greatly this year from one to one coaching. The adult socials are great fun too!
I joined the club after not playing for over 20 years. The club is such a good social environment with mixed abilities enabling you to play with a range of other members. Starting with Rusty Racquets and then moving onto all the social sessions has enabled me to turn up and guarantee a game. The club offers social tennis, team tennis and internal club matches. It is a fantastic club to be a member of and everyone is so welcoming.
A fantastic club with a brilliant and friendly group of members.
We have family membership and we all make great use of the club. There is something for every age group and every tennis ability.
The weekly Saturday adult social tennis is great fun and a chance to meet other club members.
My children love both the group and one to one lessons.
I found the free beginners coaching to be invaluable.
It has been great value for money for us. It really is a proactive club; always looking at ways to improve the facilities and tennis offer to the members.
We have made so much use of the membership over lockdown as it's enabled us to enjoy time outside together as a family, keep fit and meet new friends.
